Hi, I’m Tonya Mayes. My daughters’ final year of high school inspired me to find a meaningful way to capture the memories and moments that made that season so special. As I experienced their final year, I began to realize how quickly the high school years had gone by and how meaningful that final year truly was. It was more than a series of events. It was a collection of moments, memories, growth, and emotions that I wanted to hold onto.
That experience became the inspiration behind Grace & Milestone and My View of Your Senior Year. I created this journal to give parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, mentors, guardians, and other meaningful adults a way to reflect on a senior’s final year of high school and preserve the moments they witnessed along the way.
My hope is that each completed journal becomes more than a graduation gift. It becomes a personal keepsake filled with memories, reflections, and the perspective of someone who was part of the journey.
This is not simply a record of school events. It is a place to preserve the heart behind the year: the joy you feel watching them grow, the memories you never want to lose, the lessons you hope they carry with them, and the words that may be hard to say out loud.
